OUR SERVICES

Construction & Engineering

We specialise in providing advice on contract formation, project management and dispute resolution across the construction and engineering sector.

Construction & Engineering

Construction projects are complex and their high levels of risk need expert guidance at every phase, to avoid potentially expensive consequences. Our construction lawyers provide practical, commercial advice on all aspects of construction services. We specialise in advising on three main areas:

Contract Formation

No two projects are the same. Contracts need to properly identify the scope, price and timescale for work to be undertaken.

We work with our clients to ensure that they enter into contracts which are appropriate for the project.

We also work with Contractors and Sub-Contractors to ensure that they have Terms & Conditions which are up to date and easily understood by all parties operating under them.

Project Management

We work with Project Teams to identify and address issues as they arise and address such issues rather than let them become an issue  when it comes to agreeing the Final Account.

Dispute Resolution

Our focus is on understanding clients’ expectations and identifying the correct procedures to reach an early and cost-effective resolution of the issues in dispute. We are experienced in representing both Claimants and Defendants.

We are familiar with the following procedures:

  • Litigation; especially in the Technology & Construction Court
  • Arbitration; both domestic and international
  • Adjudication; both statutory and contractual
  • Alternative dispute resolution; including mediation and early neutral evaluation
